New York, NY (RestaurantNews.com) This September, 16 Handles is traveling back in time to the ‘80s with The Goldbergs! To celebrate the popular show’s broadcast syndication launch, which will give viewers the chance to enjoy the family comedy every weeknight, the beloved frozen dessert shop will be offering three throwback toppings – Reese’s Pieces®, Keebler® Fudge Stripes™ Cookies, and Nestle® Crunch Bar – all in honor of this totally awesome decade! The Goldbergs will be broadcast every weeknight at 7 & 7:30 P.M. on WPIX in New York and on Tribune Stations across the country starting September 11.
“We’re excited to celebrate The Goldbergs syndication launch with these throwback toppings,” says 16 Handles CEO and founder, Solomon Choi. “As a kid who grew up in the ‘80s, these toppings take me right back to my childhood.”
“16 Handles, like The Goldbergs, is a destination for family fun. Partnering with them to create the special limited edition 80s-inspired toppings is by far the sweetest way to celebrate the premiere of The Goldbergs on PIX-11 every weeknight,” adds Rachel Mizuno, Senior Vice President, U.S. Distribution Marketing.
16 Handles will offer The Goldbergs throwback toppings throughout the month of September in its locations within the New York metro area.

About The Goldbergs
From a simpler time, known as the ‘80s, come the VCR-loving, mixtape-making, spandex-wearing Goldbergs. For geeky and movie obsessed youngest child Adam (Sean Giambrone), his wonder years were spent documenting the hilarious and awkward antics of his colorful family. Mom, Beverly (Wendi McLendon-Covey), is a classic “smother,” at her best when she’s meddling, matchmaking and bedazzling her way through life, while dad, Murray (Jeff Garlin), parents from the comfort of his recliner in his underpants. Oldest sister, Erica (Hayley Orrantia) is popular and terrifying, doing her best to cover up that she’s the smartest of the clan, and middle child, Barry (Troy Gentile) is a passionate dreamer, who maybe dreams a little too big and so often gets the short end of the stick. Rounding out the family is beloved grandfather, Al “Pops” Solomon (George Segal), the wild man of the clan, a shameless Don Juan who’s learning as much from his family as he teaches them.
The Goldbergs is produced by Happy Madison and Adam F. Goldberg Productions in association with Sony Pictures Television.
