Fort Collins, CO (RestaurantNews.com) AllerTrain™ by MenuTrinfo®, the leader in food allergy training and education across the country, is pleased to announce that they are now an approved provider for the School Nutrition Association through their AllerTrain™ K12 course.
The School Nutrition Association (SNA) is the national organization of school nutrition professionals committed to advancing the quality of school meal programs through education and advocacy. With a mission statement like this, AllerTrain™ decided that SNA was an organization they should undoubtedly to be connected to.
“Promoting healthy lifestyles through education and advocacy, specifically for food allergies, is what we are committed to. The School Nutrition Association’s mission clearly aligns with the heart of AllerTrain™ so we knew this was a no brainer, especially if we get to help positively impact kids,” shared Laurie Thomeczek, AllerTrain™ Director of Education.
The AllerTrain™ K12 course caters to the same audience that SNA serves, so for this reason AllerTrain™ by MenuTrinfo applied for this course to be the training provider, and was quickly approved for 2 Continuing Education Units.
SNA’s approval of education and training programs allows providers to support SNA members across the country, by helping satisfy the minimum annual training requirements of several different programs.
AllerTrain™ has received especially great support and appreciation from their Master Trainers working in school districts across the country.
“Certification of the AllerTrain™ K12 course not only helps validate child nutrition employees’ allergen knowledge and expertise to parents, students, visitors, teachers and administrators, but it also helps child nutrition employees maintain their own SNA certification. Win! Win!” said Tandy Norris, Child Nutrition Program Coordinator of Athen’s City Schools.
