Chicago, IL (RestaurantNews.com) As we head into the Holiday season and Advocate Children’s Hospital begins to receive gifts, Aurelio’s is honored to have delivered a gift of $15,000 to the hospital — funds raised with the help of Aurelio’s patrons nationwide October 13-19.
“We’re very happy we give back to a great organization that helps improve the lives of so many children and families each and every day,” said Joe Aurelio, president and CEO of Aurelio’s Pizza. “We simply couldn’t have hit our goal to raise $15,000 had it not been for all of our loyal customers who walked through our doors in support of the organization during that week. I’m proud Aurelio’s could provide these funds to the hospital and that our customers know how important the hospital is to the Chicago community. Thank you all!”
Aurelio’s has been supporting Hope Children’s Hospital in numerous ways since 1998. In fact, this year, Joe Aurelio was honored with the first ever Hearts for Hope Community Service Award for his tireless efforts to champion the raising of much needed funds on behalf of the Hospital.
With a history as rich and entrenched in the community as the pizza it’s famous for, the very first Aurelio’s restaurant opened on Ridge Road in Homewood, IL as the pride and joy of Joseph A. Aurelio, Jr. who decided to give it a go as a restaurateur at the age of 26. With its legendary “old oven” dating back to 1959 in its Homewood location, Aurelio’s was a pioneer in the concept of the Family Pizzeria in the United States and helped to launch pizza into the American lexicon. Since that time, Aurelio’s has become one of Chicagoland’s claims to fame. And, transplanted Chicagoans all over the map have helped to bring their favorite pizzeria franchise to 41 cities across six states, growing a strong fan base for the taste of Aurelio’s. www.AureliosPizza.com
