Master franchising agreement is latest bold move in brand’s global expansion
Dallas, TX (RestaurantNews.com) Bennigan’s, one of America’s most iconic restaurant brands, announced today that it has executed a Master Franchise Agreement with Suri Hospitality International to open 50 locations throughout the nation of India. The first of these locations is expected to open in Spring 2014 in Mumbai.
The agreement, which includes both the Bennigan’s and Bennigan’s on the Fly concepts, signals the beginning of an aggressive strategic move into the Indian subcontinent. Significant resources will be invested in the market to build brand awareness and stimulate trial.

Suri Hospitality International is owned by Nik Patel who also owns Alena Hospitality, a successful hotel development and restaurant investment company.

Bennigan’s Franchising Company has agreements in place to develop more than 30 additional restaurants in New Jersey, Virginia, Texas, Arkansas, Minnesota, Florida, Tennessee and Michigan; and internationally in Dubai, Mexico, Central America, Cyprus and Korea at US Army Base Camp Humphreys.
