California Pizza Kitchen Opens First Airport Location in MexicoCalifornia Pizza Kitchen, home of the Original BBQ Chicken Pizza and other innovative hearth-baked pizzas, made-to-order pastas, creative salads, appetizers, soups, sandwiches and desserts, today announced the opening of its first airport location in Mexico. Opened by CPK franchise partner Grupo Calpik, S.A.P.I. de C.V. and operated by Mera Corporation, the new quick-service restaurant is located in Terminal 2 at the Cancun International Airport.

Visited by over 3 million international travelers each year, the Cancun International Airport is the second busiest airport in Mexico and has received the Best Airport of Latin-America Award for the last two years by the Airport Council International.

The menu features a specialized selection of CPK’s most popular pizzas, salads, soups and sandwiches from the full-service restaurant menu. Among the items offered will be the Original BBQ Chicken Pizza, Chinese Chicken Salad, Roasted Turkey Breast Sandwich and Sedona Tortilla Soup.

The restaurant, open daily from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., will also offer a breakfast menu highlighted by a great selection of hot Panini egg sandwiches served on Rustic Panini Bread. The menu will also offer The Works Breakfast Burrito with scrambled eggs, applewood smoked bacon, sweet Italian sausage, black beans, Cheddar and Mozzarella cheeses, fresh red and green peppers, onions and tomatillo salsa.

Additional full-service CPK restaurants in Mexico are located in Guadalajara, Cancun and the following suburbs of Mexico City: Lomas Verdes, Bosques de Las Lomas, Polanco District, Santa Fe, Coyoacán and Satelite.
