Seafood Chain’s Franchise and Corporate Store Growth Plan Gains Momentum
Nashville, TN (RestaurantNews.com) On August 18, 2014, Captain D’s opened its newest franchise location in West Point, Mississippi.
Keith and Chris McBrayer were inspired by their father’s love for Captain D’s, which is why they decided to join the seafood chain’s franchise system. “People in West Point love Captain D’s. Since we made the announcement that Captain D’s was coming to the community, we have received countless thank yous. We are very excited to bring fresh, affordable seafood to the people of West Point,” said Chris McBrayer.
The restaurant, which is located at 1160 Highway 45 Alternate South, is the first Captain D’s in the state of Mississippi to be built with the new coastal-theme that resembles a beachside destination. The “Beach Design” also includes new menu boards, new dinnerware, and a newly reformulated equipment line.
In addition to the new ambiance, the restaurant highlights D’s New Fired Grilled menu, which includes Shrimp Skewers, Wild Alaskan Salmon, Seasoned Tilapia, and Surf and Turf (beef and shrimp skewers).
The fast casual seafood chain, which is celebrating 45 years in business, has spent the last year focused on franchise development. Captain D’s is embarking on a new growth strategy that will increase the number of company owned locations.
In September, Captain D’s will open its first location under the new corporate development program. The restaurant will be located in Five Points, Ala.
