At year-end 2001, there were 297 El Pollo Loco restaurants. Of those, 136 were owned and operated by the company, 157 were owned by franchisees, and four were foreign licensing agreements. The restaurants are located in four U.S. states-- California, Arizona, Nevada, and Texas--and two foreign countries, the Philippines and Malaysia. The majority of restaurants are located in California.
In 2001, El Pollo Loco opened 16 new restaurants and ended the year with record systemwide sales of more than $340 million. Headquartered in Irvine, California, El Pollo Loco, Inc. is a privately held company owned by New York-based equity investment firm American Securities Capital Partners, L.P. and company management.
Restaurant Manager Job Description:
Reporting to the General Manager. Manages the business function of a restaurant, responsible for assigned shifts in one restaurant with annual net sales of $400,000 to 1.2 million. May fill in for General Manager. Also responsible for contributing to sales and profit goals, ensuring guest satisfaction, and following company policies and standards.
Job Requirements:
1 to 2 years restaurant management experience. Required to work a 50 hours per week. Ability to lead and motivate others. Strong written and commuinication skills.
