RESPONSIBLITIES:

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for the operation of up to 4 quick service branded and non-branded restaurants. The Manager maintains a high degree of guest and employee satisfaction and directs the activities of all staff within the unit, while also being accountable for unit sales, direct operating expenses, food cost and quality.

The Manager directly supervises at least two Assistant Managers and a staff of up to 50 employees and in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and analyzes restaurant performances daily
  • Develops and executes strategic plans to optimize restaurant profits while maintaining quality, cleanliness and guest service standards
  • Consistently drives process improvements and efficiencies to enhance guest service and food/beverage operations
  • Creates and fosters a cohesive team environment, while ensuring that employee satisfaction and staff moral at are a high level
  • Provides performance development including administering discipline, resolving employee relation's issues and conducting individual and team meetings
  • Provides development of staff, including training, mentoring and coaching
  • Ensures compliance with al local, state and federal laws regarding food quality, safety labor, employment and Union guidelines, as well as company polices and procedures.
  • Maximizes daily sales and effectively manages costs, labor, inventory and cash control, while focusing on exceeding annual EBITDA targets
  • Communicates on a constant basis with Area Manager regarding restaurant and staff performances and challenges
  • Takes an active part in recruitment and retention of staff
  • Creates service and production staff schedules in accordance to forecasted business volume
  • Ensures that shopper reports are within acceptable levels
  • Manages on-going TIPS training
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school degree or GED with some college education in food service required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred from a college or university, preferably in hospitality
  • One to three years of practical experience and supervisor experience required
  • Three to five years experience managing a multi-unit branded concept restaurant preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two years of complete P&L experience in a branded/non-branded food or entertainment business
  • Proven leadership skills - ability to motivate and manage all levels of staff and management
