Chick-fil-A Packs Protein into Updated Greek Yogurt Parfait

One-of-its-kind farm-to-table yogurt adds taste and nutrition for customers

Chick-fil-A Packs Protein into Updated Greek Yogurt ParfaitAtlanta, GA  (  Chick-fil-A® is making one of its healthiest menu items even more nutritious with the introduction of a new Greek Yogurt Parfait at its 1,900-plus restaurants nationwide. The parfait has half the sugar and twice the protein – seven grams in each serving – of the previous yogurt parfait per ounce and is made from all-natural ingredients with no preservatives, artificial colors or flavors. The 110 calorie-per-serving Greek Yogurt Parfait is served with fresh strawberries and blueberries and can be topped with a choice of Chick-fil-A Harvest Nut Granola or chocolate cookie crumbles – for those wanting to add a touch of indulgence.

“Our customers have been asking us for menu items that are higher in protein and we’re listening,” said David Farmer, vice president of product strategy and development. “The parfait is delicious and not only makes breakfast better for our guests — it’s available all day as a side item, snack or dessert.”

Chick-fil-A partnered exclusively with dairy company fairlife, LLC, – a company known for its commitment to caring for animals, sustainability and high-quality, all-natural products — to make the farm-to-table Greek yogurt. The yogurt is made at Fair Oaks Farms in Indiana, using the company’s patented filtration process.

“Our proprietary technique allows us preserve the protein and other nutrients that are packed into our fresh, high-quality milk,” said Anders Porter, director of communications for fairlife. “Better protein-packed milk makes better yogurt. You won’t find anything like this Greek yogurt anywhere else,” he said, adding that chefs from Chick-fil-A’s culinary team worked hand-in-hand with the farm for seven months to perfect the blend of flavors.

The fairlife Greek yogurt is only available at Chick-fil-A. The price for a 5 oz. parfait will start at $2.39.

Chick-fil-A continues to adapt to the growing needs and health preferences of its customers. In addition to adding healthy menu items like Greek yogurt, the company also removed trans fats from its entire menu in 2008 and more recently removed high fructose corn syrup and artificial colors from its dressings and sauces. By the end of 2019, Chick-fil-A will exclusively serve chicken raised without antibiotics. The company and its chicken suppliers have collaborated to ensure that suppliers never directly administer antibiotics within their operation at any time, making Chick-fil-A’s “No Antibiotic Ever” commitment the strongest in the industry.
