Chili’s Unleashes New Campaign by Enticing Foursquare Users with Free Appetizers

Chili’s Bar & Grill become the first casual dining chain to offer freebies to users of the incredibly popular social media platform known as Foursquare.  Chili’s recently kicked of a new promotion nationwide, that allows users of the software to check-in while at Chili’s and receive an appetizer of chips and house salsa on the house.  No matter if you are a new user to the platform, or a seasoned Foursquare veteran, Chili’s has a freebie just for you.

The promotion makes Chili’s one of the first restaurant chains in the nation to take advantage of the power of the new social network for Smartphone users.  Foursquare currently has over 2 million users and grows larger by the day. 

Chili’s Marketing Director, Nicole Cochran, said that Chili’s is excited about the opportunity Foursquare gives the restaurant to connect with patrons in an interactive environment, while being able to offer them something on the house for taking the time to check-in while at the restaurant.

Users can unlock the free appetizer coupon at participating restaurants by checking in with Chili’s through Foursquare.  Any time that a Foursquare user is within 200 yards of a participating restaurant, they will be greeted with flag announcing a special offer through the social media application.
