Chipotle Offers Catering in Time for the Holiday Season

Special holiday promotion offers two free entrees with Chipotle catering orders

Denver, CO  (RestaurantNews.com)  Chipotle Mexican Grill (NYSE: CMG) is now offering catering nationwide just in time for the holiday season. Customers around the country can spice up their holiday festivities with Chipotle catering for parties of 20 or more from Nov. 11 through Dec. 31. Customers who present their catering receipts at any U.S. Chipotle location before Jan. 31, 2014, will be able to redeem a gift for themselves of two free burritos, bowls, orders of tacos or salads.

“We are changing the way people think about and eat fast food by offering our customers better ingredients from more sustainable sources in a way that is affordable and accessible,” said Mark Crumpacker, chief marketing and development officer at Chipotle. “With catering, we can now better serve our customers by allowing them to bring Chipotle into their homes, offices and schools where they can conveniently and effortlessly share the food that they love with large groups of people.”

Chipotle catering offers a Taco and Burrito Bowl Spread that can be ordered with two or three meats (including Responsibly Raised® grilled chicken or steak, and shredded barbacoa or carnitas) and comes complete with sides, including cilantro-lime rice, pinto and black beans, fresh salsas, house-made guacamole, cheese and sour cream. Those looking for a snack or a smaller option can choose Chipotle’s chips and salsa menu with hand-mashed guacamole, fresh tomato salsa, roasted chili-corn salsa, tomatillo-green chili salsa, and tomatillo-red chili salsa. All options are easy to set up and come with everything customers need to serve their guests.

For smaller catering orders (of six or more), Chipotle offers a Burritos by the Box option, which allows customers to mix and match their choice of chicken, steak, carnitas, barbacoa or vegetarian burritos including white or brown cilantro-lime rice, vegetarian black beans, mild fresh tomato salsa and cheese. Burritos by the Box orders also come with a bag of chips, tomatillo-green chili salsa, guacamole and sour cream for every two burritos ordered.

To order, customers can call 800-CHIPOTLE. Orders must be placed at least 24 hours ahead of pick-up time. To receive the two free entrees, catering orders must be placed for pickup between Nov. 11 and Dec. 31, 2013. Orders must be for at least 20 people, and chips and salsa spreads are not included in this promotion. The last day for customers to redeem their receipt for two free entrees is Jan. 31, 2014, and the free items must be redeemed simultaneously. The receipt must be original, and no copies are permitted. The receipt must be dated at least one day prior to the date of redemption for free menu items.

Burritos by the Box is currently the only catering option available in New York City (the five boroughs) with plans to roll out full catering spreads in 2014. New York City Burritos by the Box orders can be placed directly with the restaurants.
