Texas-based Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, the largest quick serve barbecue restaurant in the country, opens the doors to its new location in Queensbury, located at 756 Upper Glen Street.
“We are excited to open our second location in the Queensbury area. New York is a great place to work, do business and now, eat barbecue,” Franchise Owner Reid Grubbs said.
This is the first franchise opportunity for Grubbs.
“I can’t wait for the community to come out and see what Dickey’s barbecue is all about,” Reid noted.
Texas-based Dickey’s Barbecue Pit opened in 1941 and began franchising in 1994. Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is well-known for their hot pit-smoked signature meats, complimentary ice cream and the big yellow cups.
Dickey’s is growing at rapid rates—today the quick-serve barbecue restaurant reached 150 locations in 35 states and the company has enjoyed a 38% growth rate over the past 2 years, according to company officials.
The original location is still open for business and Dickey’s Barbecue is still owned and operated by the Dickey Family.
Committed to exceptional quality at an affordable price, Dickey’s still slow smokes all of its signature meats overnight in every restaurant.
