Dickey’s Barbecue Pit celebrates grand opening Thursday with four days of fun, including free barbecue for a year for three lucky guests

Owner/Operator Eric Lyon spent 25 years at a mailing equipment manufacturing facility, where he was a project manager and service team supervisor. Realizing his industry was on a decline, he retired and decided to invest in his own business. “I looked at several franchise concepts, but none other had the level of ongoing support that Dickey’s has,” Lyon says. “There is nothing else like Dickey’s in our area, and I am excited to bring authentic Texas-style barbecue to Duarte.”
