Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill Makes FastCasual.com Top 100 Movers & Shakers List
Denver-based Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill, a new seven-unit restaurant group offering the authentic tastes of the Mediterranean, has been named to FastCasual.com’s “Top 100 2009 Movers & Shakers” list. The restaurant group, which made its debut in this fifth annual issue, ranked No. 26 among other leading national restaurant brands.
FastCasual.com acknowledged Garbanzo’s healthy, fresh and authentic core concepts, as well as its introduction of quality, fast casual Mediterranean cuisine. The company’s founder, Alon Mor, was also recognized for leading Garbanzo’s growth to six units in 2009 and planning to double the restaurant’s size in 2010. Additionally, FastCasual.com noted the group’s franchise effort to grow into other regions of the country, including the Midwest and Northeast.

According to FastCasual.com, in ranking the segment’s top 100 brands for the fifth time, the website attempted to “refine the fast casual concept as one that offers gourmet-level food or drink and an interior that wows the guest at a price that is driven by value. The concepts included [in the top 100 list] have accomplished just that.”
Garbanzo offers guests a variety of healthy, high-quality Mediterranean items with an emphasis on flavor, freshness and authenticity. Guests have the ability to customize every meal with items such as pita (made from scratch, on-site each day), laffas, falafel, shwarma, hummus, spiced rice, sauces and relishes.
