The Vernon Hills High School Wind Ensemble has been added to the list of those who have benefited from Natalie Douglass’ love for Chipotle Mexican Grill.

Douglass, a student teacher in the high school’s music department and recent graduate of University of Illinois, has had an affair with Chipotle for years. It all began when she was a freshman in high school. While visiting her sister in Columbus, Ohio, the two dined at a Chipotle restaurant. Upon arriving back home in Green Oaks, she sent the company an e-mail, praising their food. In return, Chipotle gave Douglass a party for 10 people at a local location.

“I’m a sophomore in high school,” she said recalling the event. “This is pure magic to me.”

After the party, she wrote another letter to the company, thanking them for the party. In return they provided her with 100 coupons for free burritos, which they asked her to pass out as part of a marketing campaign. Of the 100 coupons she passed out with her name on them, 97 were redeemed. She started to be known as “Burrito Girl” at school.
