Honey Dew Donuts to Expand Their Ongoing Support of Breast Cancer Awareness

Honey Dew Donuts announced today that in addition to their continued support of The National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc., the company will extend their outreach to include sponsoring the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walks in Boston and Providence.

The first walk in Boston on October 3, Honey Dew has chosen to sponsor the Survivorship Tent. Commemorative pink powdered Dew Drops will be handed out, in addition, survivors can sign up to win one of three $100 Honey Dew Gift Cards, pick up Honey Dew coupon offers for a Free Medium Hot Coffee and giveaways.

In addition to the tent sponsorship, Honey Dew has recruited employees from all of the shops to attend the Boston and Providence events and walk as a team to show Honey Dew’s emphatic support to this cause.

The second walk will be taking place on October 24 in Providence. Honey Dew is a Pink Ribbon Sponsor for that event. In addition to the ribbon sponsorship, Honey Dew has donated 1,000 bottles of water to the participants of the walk.

“I am extremely passionate about supporting this cause and I wanted to be able to reach out to all individuals and families and let them know that Honey Dew is strongly committed to breast cancer awareness, detection and prevention. We will continue to support this cause until a cure is found,” noted Richard J. Bowen, President and CEO of Honey Dew Associates, Inc.

For the month of October, Honey Dew shops throughout New England will display a large pink ribbon noting “Join Us in the Fight”. Customers can go into the shops and purchase a paper pink ribbon for $1. However, new this year, Honey Dew Donuts will match the dollar amount raised from the sales of the pink ribbons. All pink ribbon sales and matching contributions from Honey Dew will go directly to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.
