Austin, TX (RestaurantNews.com) Iron Cactus Mexican Grill & Margarita Bar today announced that due to the unusually cold weather this year, there has been a significant shortfall of high-quality, vine-riped tomatoes, which the restaurant uses to create its award-winning salsas made fresh daily. The famous Tex-Mex dining establishment predicts that its two famous salsas, the warm-roasted and cold salsa, will run out by April 1st.
“We ask guests to visit our five locations on or before April 1st while we have salsas available,” stated Gary Manley, General Partner at Iron Cactus. “We will continue to offer our unlimited chips and salsas free of charge even as we face this crisis,” added Manley with conviction.
Iron Cactus, which has five locations in Texas including three in the Austin-area (6th St. in downtown Austin, North Austin and Hill Country Galleria), downtown Dallas and San Antonio Riverwalk, are all affected by the salsa shortage. Iron Cactus’ salsas are made daily with the freshest and finest ingredients. The restaurant will not compromise in its commitment to using only the best ingredients for its dishes, margaritas and desserts including its salsas.
“We will make it through this salsa shortage. We will know if the crisis is averted on April 2nd,” added Manley.
