Restaurant Concept Centered Around Scratch-Made Kitchen and Genuine Hospitality To Open In Folsom and Roseville
Folsom Lazy Dog Is Now Hiring
Huntington Beach, CA (RestaurantNews.com) Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar, the family-run upscale casual dining restaurant recognized for its scratch-made kitchen, inspired menu, and curated bar, will open two new locations in the Greater Sacramento Area this fall. The first location in Folsom, at 300 Palladio Parkway, Pad 800, will open its doors on September 13 and is now hiring about 200 employees. A second location in Roseville will open in October.
Inspired by family meals and the fresh air lifestyle of the Rocky Mountain town where Founder and CEO Chris Simms and his family spend part of the year, Lazy Dog’s signature laid-back atmosphere, genuine hospitality and fresh food keep guests coming back. Once the first Lazy Dog location opened in Huntington Beach in 2003, it quickly became the go-to favorite among Southern California residents for all of life’s occasions. With a focus on a variety of crave-worthy, housemade dishes, an extensive bar program and a great sense of community, Lazy Dog continues to be embraced by diners as a dining destination the whole family can enjoy.
As part of its opening preparation, Lazy Dog is now accepting applications for servers, cooks, bartenders, bussers, host/hostesses, and more for its Folsom location. All those interested in applying for a position to join the Lazy Dog team in Folsom are encouraged to visit www.lazydogrestaurants.com/job. Group interviews will begin in August and the restaurant anticipates it will have a complete staff at approximately 200 employees. “We are eager to build our Folsom team and get ready to serve the community,” said Chris Simms. “Each member of our team becomes a part of our Lazy Dog Family. We feel that our family-friendly atmosphere and exemplary service can be credited to our great team and we look forward to continuing this tradition in Folsom and Roseville.”
Lazy Dog’s menu is crafted by the VP of Research and Development, Gabe Caliendo, with a focus on elevated nostalgic dishes while also introducing diners to new combinations and unexpected flavor profiles that reflect seasonal influences. Folsom will open with Lazy Dog’s fall seasonal menu, featuring entrees like the Berkshire Pork Shank, with slow-braised Durham Ranch Wyoming pork, simmered in tangerine juices, garlic, ginger, soy sauce and honey, served with spicy kimchi fried rice, showcase Chef Caliendo’s creative menu innovations and emphasis on fresh, quality ingredients. Other dishes like the Seasonal Roasted Street Carrots, Lazy Dog’s take on street corn features rainbow heirloom carrots, garlic, queso blanco, cilantro lime crema and topped with Tajin. The Fried Chicken Sandwich, with hand-dipped buttermilk chicken, housemade pimento cheese spread, fiery carrot slaw, pickled jalapenos, tomato and iceberg lettuce, takes an American favorite to a whole new level. Lazy Dog’s housemade Butter Cake, topped with mint and strawberry compote and served with vanilla bean ice cream, is the best way to finish any meal.
To complement the food, Lazy Dog’s bar program features a variety of hand-crafted cocktails from the Maple Bacon Old Fashioned and seasonal features like the Tangerine Thyme Margarita to the selection of local brewery picks. The Folsom and Roseville locations will feature various local craft brews including Rubicon Monkey Knife Fight Pal Ale, Track 7 Left Eye Right Eye and Knee Deep Hoparillo Triple IPA. Chef Gabe, an expert home brewer, also collaborated with California brewery Golden Road Brewing to develop the restaurant’s house drafts, Lazy Dog Blonde, Hefeweizen, Pale Ale, Red, IPA and Stout. Lazy Dog also offers brunch on the weekends where guests can treat themselves to the popular Hair of the Dog Bloody Mary which pairs perfectly with sweet and savory weekend brunch offerings like the housemade Carnitas & Tater Tot Hash – braised pork shoulder, two poached eggs, country potatoes, sweet potato tater tots, roasted bell peppers, onions, American cheese and hatch chile chipotle sauce, topped with fresh cilantro.
