Café celebrates grand opening with bounce houses, costume contests and more
Lexington, KY (RestaurantNews.com) Lexington just got a whole lot sweeter.
Nestlé® Toll House® Café by Chip®, the popular international bakery café chain, began serving up its signature treats and hot Nescafe® Milano® coffee on Saturday, Oct. 29, from its new location at 867 S. Broadway, Suite 110, just north of the University of Kentucky campus in Lexington.
The café serves up freshly baked cookies, customized cookie cakes, a mouthwatering assortment of freshly baked confections, ice creams, cold beverages and crepes.
Saturday’s grand opening celebration featured bounce houses for the kids, as well as a live remote from 1 – 4 p.m. A very special “cookie cutting ceremony” was held at 6 p.m., and the party kicked up a few notches with a Halloween Costume Contest for UK students and other young adults from 7 – 10 p.m. A live DJ kept the party rocking through the night.
“Nestlé Toll House Café by Chip is a great brand and we’re so proud to introduce it to the good people of Kentucky and Lexington, specifically,” said Islam Masoud, co-owner of the local franchise with Sami Shalash.
Kentucky’s first Nestlé Toll House Café by Chip is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The state-of-the-art location features four 48” digital menu boards and free WiFi.
