Logan's Roadhouse and ASCAP Unveil "MUSIC CITY LIVE!" A National Country Music Tour Showcasing Emerging, Unsigned Songwriter-Artists

Sea Gayle Music/Arista Nashville Recording Artist Jerrod Niemann Announced as Tour Spokesperson

Nashville, TN  (RestaurantNews.comLogan’s Roadhouse and ASCAP recently held a press conference to unveil “MUSIC CITY LIVE!,” a national country music tour that is the cornerstone of an alliance between the two organizations to promote emerging, unsigned songwriter-artists. Announced by ASCAP President and Chairman Paul Williams alongside Logan’s Roadhouse CEO Sam Borgese, the tour will kick off in early Summer 2016 and the artists will be showcased at specially selected Logan’s Roadhouse locations throughout the country. This announcement follows recent news that ASCAP and Logan’s Roadhouse have cemented a special agreement to collaborate on projects that will promote the careers of aspiring songwriter-artists, including the MUSIC CITY LIVE! tour, the support of music education programs in schools and more.

ASCAP President Paul Williams said: “ASCAP’s mission is to make it possible for our members’ music to reach as many music lovers as it can. To do that we need partners who are as passionate about music as we are. That’s why we are thrilled to join forces with Logan’s Roadhouse to promote some of Nashville’s emerging and most gifted songwriters. These artists deserve a chance to be discovered, and this unique tour will bring their music to audiences throughout the country in an exciting new way.”

Logan’s Roadhouse CEO Sam Borgese said: “We believe that great music comes from emerging artists. We feel they should have a venue that helps support them so that they can continue to tell the stories of life through their music.  This tour will give these artists’ exposure and connect with the Logan’s Roadhouse customers all over America from small towns to big cities.”

Sea Gayle Music/Arista Nashville recording artist and ASCAP member Jerrod Niemann will be the official spokesperson and mentor to artists on the MUSIC CITY LIVE! tour. Niemann will appear at select Logan’s Roadhouses to meet fans and participate in local programs that support music education in schools. Niemann said: “I grew up playing in places like Logan’s Roadhouse and there’s not a better place to get the right start. All any artist can ask for is a fair chance to have their music heard. The fact Logan’s Roadhouse chooses to support emerging artists shows that new American music and great American dinner classics are in great hands!”

Niemann appeared at the September 15th press event at the Logan’s Roadhouse Elliston Place location in Nashville and offered an acoustic performance of his current single, “Blue Bandana.” Additional performances included emerging songwriter-artists Sarahbeth Taite and Chris Cavanaugh.

The MUSIC CITY LIVE! tour organically connects future stars with audiences in intimate venues. This grassroots approach is designed to stir the excitement of music fans as they anticipate the tour coming to their community. These “roadhouse” tours will help turn talented songwriter-performers into household names as they capture the hearts of Americans.

MUSIC CITY LIVE! songwriter-artists will board three Logan’s Roadhouse/ASCAP-branded tour buses and travel to numerous Logan’s Roadhouse locations across the United States. Throughout the tour, customers will have the opportunity to interact with showcasing artists through meet-and-greets, philanthropic events and more. The artists will be accessible to the public and Logan’s Roadhouse customers will play a vital part in launching their careers.

The MUSIC CITY LIVE! tour schedule and list of participating Logan’s Roadhouse locations will be announced in early 2016. The emerging artists featured on the tour were added to ASCAP-curated playlists at all 230 Logan’s Roadhouse locations in October of this year, and on October 1st, the Logan’s Roadhouse Cool Springs location in Franklin, Tenn., celebrated this historic alliance with the restaurant’s first live music showcase featuring emerging artist Chris Cavanaugh.
