The nation’s leading quick-service seafood restaurant donated time and food to victims on Saturday

The nation’s largest quick-service seafood restaurant served more than 800 pieces of fish, cole slaw, hush puppies and fries at the former Dodge dealership in Richwood.

“These people have lost everything during this time of need,” said Larry Ellis, Market Supervisor for Long John Silver’s. “They came to us tired and hungry and I will never forget the amount of appreciation they showed and the smiles on their faces when they received a warm meal from us. Our staff worked tirelessly to feed more than 400 people in the Richwood area.”

Richwood has seen some of the most destructive flooding in West Virginia and citizens have been deprived of their homes, food and other resources. Long John Silver’s prepared food in Weston, W.Va. and transported it to Richwood last Saturday.
