Over the last three decades, a lot of changes have transpired along the busy stretch of Plainfield Avenue between the highway interchanges and Four Mile Road NE.
But one thing has remained the same: The way in which Mercedes Stusse trains teens brave enough to seek a job at the Taco Boy restaurant that’s been there since 1967.
No coddling. No second chances. No excuses. No way you call in sick unless you’re prepared to bring in a doctor’s note next time you work.
