Outback parent to cut jobs, likely move work overseas


Outback Steakhouse’s parent company will cut up to 50 jobs and likely move the work overseas as it tries to cut costs and improve efficiencies, a company official said Monday.

OSI Restaurant Partners, the Tampa-based parent of Outback, Bonefish Grill, Carrabba’s Italian Grill and other brands, told employees on Thursday that it plans to outsource some of its accounting functions. It expects to eliminate 35 to 50 jobs over two years, starting in January.
