The more than 32 million travelers who annually pass through the Charlotte/Douglas International Airport in Charlotte, N.C., now have a new dining option with the recent opening of a Papa John’s restaurant.
The Papa John’s restaurant, franchised by airport concessionaire, P.J.J.D. Enterprises, Inc., is located in the airport’s main concourse food court and serves “Papa’s Pizza for One,” an 8-inch pizza made with Papa John’s traditional fresh dough. It is the company’s first airport location to serve Papa John’s fresh dough product.
“We are very excited to be expanding Papa John’s into airports, and are proud to be in the Charlotte/Douglas International Airport,” said Tim North, Papa John’s Senior Vice President of North American Operations. “Quality is the hallmark of Papa John’s, including using superior-quality ingredients and partnering with top-quality franchisees. P.J.J.D. Enterprises is an outstanding group and we are confident they will have great success delivering on Papa John’s ‘Better Ingredients. Better Pizza’ brand promise to travelers passing through Charlotte.”
