Pizza Inn Continues Growth Momentum Into 2015

Popular international chain makes Colorado debut, expands in Georgia, Texas

Pizza Inn Continues Growth Momentum Into 2015Dallas, TX  (RestaurantNews.com)  When the first Pizza Inn restaurant opened across from Dallas’ Southern Methodist University back in 1958, no one had any idea of the global presence the restaurant would one day have.

Yet more than half a century later, Pizza Inn’s dedication to serving up smiles one slice at a time continues to resonate with pizza lovers worldwide.

Just last week, Pizza Inn made tracks to the Rocky Mountains, opening the first Colorado restaurant in recent history in La Junta. Couple that with grand openings slated for this week in Houston, TX and Baxley, GA, and you’ve got all the ingredients for one tasty success story, not to mention the reopening of a bigger and better Vidalia, GA, Pizza Inn scheduled for next month.

“Precious few restaurant brands have stood the test of time as well as Pizza Inn, and to actually be back in growth mode is especially remarkable,” said Steve Link, Pizza Inn’s vice president of operations. “Our focus on quality menu items, friendly customer service and affordable prices has helped us build a large and loyal following. We’re looking forward to bringing that winning formula to the great state of Colorado, and to new towns in Texas, Georgia and across the nation.”

Pizza Inn is rapidly closing in on 300 franchised units across 12 countries. Latest openings include:

  • 874 S. Main St., Baxley, GA – Opens Wednesday, Nov. 19
    • Marks the fourth Pizza Inn in Georgia
    • Original location closed almost 10 years ago; building received facelift and new ownership
  • 8301 N. Eldridge Rd., Houston, TX – Opens Wednesday, Nov. 19
    • Houston’s 14th location, and the 50th in Texas
  • 712 E. Third St., La Junta, CO – Opened Friday, Nov. 14
    • The company’s first Colorado restaurant in recent history

“Our proven business model has long made us an attractive investment, but our ongoing success would not be possible without the exceptional level of passion, character and dedication to excellence demonstrated by each of our franchise partners,” said Randy Gier, chief executive officer of Pizza Inn Holdings. “Our franchisees not only ensure that every customer is treated like an honored guest, but they give back to their local communities in ways both big and small. We are blessed to have so many outstanding franchise operators on our team.”
