Columbus, OH (RestaurantNews.com) Sunny Street Café’s most popular seasonal menu item, Pumpkin Spice Pancakes, are now back on the menu. After seven years in a row the pancakes have developed a dedicated following at the restaurants.
“The excitement leading up to the release of Pumpkin Spice Pancakes is contagious,” says Mike Stasko, VP of Brand Strategy for Sunny Street Café. “People are always asking when they’ll be able to order them. We always give a sneak peek to our regulars, but now we are in full-on pumpkin mode.”
Using a special made-from-scratch pumpkin spice batter, the pancakes are cooked to a golden, fluffy perfection, then topped with homemade cinnamon butter and a tres leches drizzle. “The recipe is truly delicious,” Stasko said. “When Autumn comes around people are ready for a hot stack of pancakes, and when you add pumpkin they become the perfect Fall breakfast.”
Also back for the fourth year in a row are Sunny Street’s made-from-scratch Pumpkin Crumb Muffins. Made from scratch every morning, they are spiced with nutmeg and cinnamon. The muffins bake up light and moist, bursting with a cream cheese filling. They are finished with a delectable crumb topping.
