Rodizio Grill today launched a new tradition for the restaurant by celebrating the Days of 47 with two four-course meals for $47 and two Rodizio Limeades for $4.70. Rodizio hopes to start a trend and invites all other Utah restaurants to come up with Days of 47 pricing specials through the end of the month.
“We wanted to come up with a fun way to celebrate with our incredible Utah fan base,” says Dave Knighton, Director of Operations and American Fork Franchise Owner at Rodizio. “What better than during the Days of 47 celebrations?”
Rodizio Grill’s downtown Denver restaurant has been participating, together with other Denver restaurants, in an annual celebration which focuses on the city’s elevation, as Denver sits 5,280 feet (one mile high) above sea level. Around February of every year, many Denver restaurants come up with promotions and discounts that have to do with the number “5,280.” This has been a tremendously successful promotion for the entire Denver market.
“This event is so strong in Colorado that it generates millions of dollars in additional revenues for the businesses. This is also true in other large markets in other states, and we see a tremendous opportunity for us, along with other restaurants, to launch something specific to Utah,” says Ivan Utrera, Founder and CEO of Rodizio Grill.
Now, Rodizio Grill at Trolley Square and Rodizio Grill in American Fork invite and encourage all restaurants in Utah to come up with creative ways to celebrate 1847 – either with $18.47 specials, $47.00 specials for two, or even $4.70 promotions on other items.
“We want this to be more than a Rodizio tradition,” Knighton says. “We’d love to see many other restaurants come on board with the idea in subsequent years, and grow the event into a larger, Utahwide celebration.”
