Even though Jack in the Box has been serving customers since 1951, today’s restaurants are as up-to-date as the best.

Sandy Morrison, manager of the Gresham location as well as the new Sandy restaurant, says Sandy is unique.

Not only does it have a double-sided fireplace, warming diners inside and outside the restaurant, but the exterior design is unique among company locations.

In addition, the building has an open kitchen, one of only three in Oregon, allowing customers to see how well their food is prepared. Sandy also is unique with its condiment stations.

The team of employees at Sandy was trained by Morrison along with team members she trained about 18 months ago to open the Gresham restaurant.

All team members went through three months of training, mainly about customer service, Morrison said, so there would be no problems when the doors opened on the first day.
