Flatbreads, along with recent launch of pizzas, completes new menu platform for the brand
Dallas, TX (RestaurantNews.com) First came pizzas, now Chili’s® Grill & Bar is embarking upon a new addition to the menu – flatbreads. Available in participating restaurants nationwide, Chili’s is enticing guests’ taste buds with three flavors inspired by the Southwest.
In true Chili’s style, the Margherita, Chipotle Chicken and California Grilled Chicken Flatbreads are thin and crispy, yet pack enough flavor to satisfy every craving. With the option to order as a shareable appetizer, or an individual lunch or dinner entrée, guests can experience Chili’s new flatbreads any time of the day, and at a value that won’t pinch the pocketbook.
Chili’s flatbreads highlight bold ingredients such as the cilantro-ranch pesto sauce on the classic Margherita Flatbread; chile-rubbed grilled chicken and chipotle pesto on the Chipotle Chicken Flatbread; and house-made pico de gallo and drizzles of roasted garlic-aioli on the California Grilled Chicken Flatbread.
“Our new flatbreads compliment the experience of More Life Happens HereSM around every table at our restaurants across the country,” said Darryl Mickler , senior director of culinary innovation for Chili’s Grill & Bar. “We wanted this latest rollout to be relevant to today’s consumer and representative of Chili’s heritage – incorporating distinct, bold, Southwestern flavors to excite the senses – and we feel we’ve accomplished this through the introduction of flatbreads.”
The Margherita and Chipotle Chicken Flatbreads are offered as half-portion appetizers on the brand’s popular $20 Dinner for Two menu, which also allows guests to choose two full-size entrees from a list of more than 10 Chili’s menu selections. Those dining for lunch can also enjoy all three of Chili’s baked-to-order flatbread flavors as part of the brand’s Lunch Break combos.
Chili’s new flatbreads include:
Margherita – classic, with a definite Southwest accent. Topped with Monterey Jack, mozzarella and fresh tomatoes with a drizzle of cilantro-ranch pesto.
Chipotle Chicken – topped with chile-rubbed grilled chicken, chipotle pesto, cheddar, Monterey Jack, mozzarella, cilantro and house-made pico de gallo with a drizzle of tomato sauce.
California Grilled Chicken – topped with grilled chicken, applewood smoked bacon, Monterey Jack, mozzarella, cilantro, fresh avocado slices and house-made pico de gallo with a drizzle of roasted garlic-aioli.
