Students get restaurant experience at Lakewood High’s Ranger Cafe

Opening to the public on Wednesday, the new Ranger Cafe at Lakewood High School will offer a full luncheon menu, prepared by culinary arts students under the direction of professional chefs. The Ranger Cafe is located in the newly remodeled west wing of LHS.

The program is part of the West Shore Career Technical Education District, a consortium of Lakewood, Rocky River, Westlake and Bay high schools. The Ranger Cafe isn’t a working model of a restaurant. It is a restaurant, with a modern decor and floor-to-ceiling windows to give the place a natural brightness. A sample menu includes salads, quiche, sandwiches, entrees, and desserts.
