North Fort Collins could soon be home to a new prototype Taco John’s restaurant the company is calling its “back to the future” model.

The “West-Mex” fast food restaurant, based out of Cheyenne, Wyo., has submitted a project development plan, or PDP, with the city for a new 747-square-foot Taco John’s double drive-thru restaurant on less than an acre of land at 1603 to 1605 N. College Ave.

Brett Miller, vice president of development and design construction for Taco John’s, said the restaurant will feature two drive-thrus designed to enhance walk-up and cyclist traffic.

Unlike traditional Taco John’s that have a dining area and large restrooms, this model is aimed at smaller plots of land and markets.
