The Roadhouse Raises Support for Hurricane Irene through Restaurant Fundraisers
Williston, VT (RestaurantNews.com) Eric Trites, owner and chef of the Roadhouse, and his business partner Jim McGovern, led up several fundraising events in support of Hurricane Irene victims and relief in 2011. One fundraiser was specifically to raise funds and support for the Wilmington, Vermont rescue squad for Hurricane Irene relief.
The Roadhouse staff is extremely involved in the community, helping out whenever they can. Hurricane Irene touched so close to home, so Eric Trites and his restaurant staff felt it was imperative to reach out to help others, and raise funds to enable the police and search and rescue crews to help victims.
Eric Trites has been the Head Chef and owner of The Roadhouse since it was established three decades ago in 1980. Since then, Eric and his restaurant staff have helped with a number of community outreach projects.
