Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza Announces Grand Opening of New Sacramento Area RestaurantLos Angeles, CA  (RestaurantNews.comBlaze Fast Fire’d Pizza, the fast-casual concept, known for its chef-driven menu and casually hip restaurants, announced today that it will open its sixth Northern California restaurant, in Davis, on Thursday, April 16th. To celebrate the grand opening, the restaurant will offer FREE build-your-own artisanal pizzas on Friday, April 17th, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. to anyone who follows Blaze Pizza on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook. Blaze Pizza’s third Sacramento area restaurant will be located near the University of California-Davis at 212 F. Street, next to Starbucks.

Blaze Pizza is a modern day “pizza joint” known for its custom-built artisanal pizzas, freshly made salads, blood orange lemonade and s’more pies. Each restaurant features an interactive assembly-line format that allows guests to customize one of the menu’s signature pizzas or create their own, choosing from a wide selection of fresh, artisanal ingredients – all for under $8. The generously-sized 11-inch pizzas are then sent to a blazing hot open-flame oven – the centerpiece of the restaurant – where dedicated pizzasmiths ensure that the thin-crust pies are fast-fire’d and ready to eat in just 180 seconds. Each restaurant makes its own dough from scratch using a recipe developed by critically-acclaimed Executive Chef Bradford Kent (“The Pizza Whisperer”), which requires a 24-hour fermentation period to produce his signature light-as-air, crisp crust. For pizza fans with specific dietary needs, Blaze Pizza offers gluten-free dough and vegan cheese. The new Davis restaurant will also feature a selection of wine and craft beer.

“We’re changing the way people think about and eat pizza,” said Jim Mizes, president & COO of Blaze Pizza. “Blaze provides all the options pizza lovers want, but without the wait, making artisanal pizza both fast and affordable.”

Blaze Pizza launched in Northern California last June, and its Fremont restaurant (43831 Pacific Commons Boulevard) has quickly become a neighborhood favorite. Two additional NorCal locations, Gold River’s Town Centre (2137 Golden Centre Lane) and the Highland Reserve Shopping Center in Roseville (10325 Fairway Drive), opened concurrently in December 2014. Blaze has already opened two locations in 2015, a San Francisco restaurant at Stonestown Galleria (157 Stonestown Galleria) in March and a San Jose location in Almaden Plaza (5353 Almaden Expressway) in April. In June, Blaze will fire up in Tracy at West Grant Line Road.
