Del Taco to Open Second Location in Dallas

Del Taco to Open Second Location in DallasDel Taco’s burritos and tacos are making their mark on Mexican food lovers in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Today, the No. 2 Mexican quick service chain announces the opening of its second restaurant in the market. The new Del Taco, located at 3301 N. Belt Line in Irving, will open today and is the first restaurant for franchisee Taco Supremo Management, LLC.

Earlier this year, Del Taco announced a development agreement with Taco Supremo, an affiliate of the 200-unit, Dallas, Tx-based Sun Holdings owned by Guillermo Perales. The Irving Del Taco is the first of six locations Taco Supremo has planned over the next twelve months. Del Taco opened its first company location in Denton last November and has plans for three more locations this year including an opening in McKinney later in the summer.

“We are excited to open our first Del Taco and to expand this great food to consumers in the Dallas market, an area we know very well,” said Guillermo Perales.

The new Del Taco restaurant will have some new touches for the chain, including updated colors, interior changes and a new seating package.

At Del Taco, all menu items are made to order using fresh ingredients including freshly grated cheddar cheese, hand-made salsa, lard-free beans made from scratch and chicken grilled every hour. The menu includes Mexican offerings of tacos, burritos, quesadillas and nachos as well as American favorites like hamburgers, fries and shakes. Del Taco also serves breakfast and most restaurants are open 24 hours with a drive thru.

Del Taco’s restaurants serve more than 3.5 million customers each week, and the chain has more than 150,000 Facebook fans. Del Taco’s Facebook site — www.facebook.com/deltaco — offers consumers free food coupons and entertaining content.

Founded in 1964, Del Taco operates or franchises more than 525 restaurants in 17 states. Additional information is available at www.deltaco.com.
