I Heart Mac & Cheese Makes Menu Over Just in Time for the New YearBoca Raton, FL  (RestaurantNews.com)  As healthful meals continue to be a top culinary trend — and just in time for those New Year’s resolutions to eat better — I Heart Mac & Cheese is rolling out new healthy item choices.

New on the menu: quinoa, cauliflower rice and broccoli florets bowl bases. Guests can choose one or all three to add to their bowl. There are also more vegetables to choose from, including corn, chickpeas, black beans and roasted red peppers. Grilled chicken has been added to the Protein list and there are new dressings, including vibrant and tangy Asian Sesame Ginger, Mango Habanero, a sweet and spicy dressing with a fiery kick, as well as a rich Creamy Italian. Dressing staying on the menu include Honey Mustard, Blue Cheese and Ranch.

The bowl menu has gotten a makeover for the new year. For starters is the new sizing, which offers one bowl size instead of two, making it easier to order and less expensive. Guests now choose unlimited vegetables, one protein and one cheese for the toppings, and they can still create their own bowls or choose from the large, chef-inspired menu. Grilled cheese sandwiches, pasta-base bowls and tater tot-base bowls remain on the menu. Guests have the option of adding one of the new sauces — buffalo, barbeque, mojo, pesto, marinara or cheese — or dressing to the bowl.

Our three new bowl choices deliver on all those expectations.” 

Specializing in custom, build-your-own (BYO) macaroni and cheese bowls and grilled cheese sandwiches, the menu also offers specialty salads, including Angry Lobster, Italian Wedding, Chicken Cordon Blue, Chopped Wedge, Honey Mustard Pesto & Chicken and more; side dishes, including cheesy broccoli, tomato soup and tomato soup dipper; and desserts, including fresh mini chocolate chip cookies, brownies, marshmallow treats and assorted dessert bars. 

The new menu items officially rolled out at the end of November at all South Florida locations — Boca Raton, Coral Springs, Davie, Fort Lauderdale, Jupiter, Parkland and Pembroke Pines — as well as at a franchised location in Yukon, OK, and its South Florida-based food truck.

Pricing for the BYO bowls and grilled cheese is $8.95. I Heart Mac & Cheese also updated its catering menu and is now offering Chef Specials and Build Your Own catering trays with any of the bases.
