Gluten-free options now available in four popular dishes at leading fresh, Asian fast-casual restaurant

Because every guest is an individual, Pei Wei believes every dish should be customizable, made-to-order and always prepared in-house. The menu is designed to be friendly for all diets, including gluten-free and vegetarian.
Now, guests at all of Pei Wei’s locations nationwide can indulge in four popular dishes that offer new gluten-free options – Kung Pao, Mongolian, Ginger Broccoli and Fried Rice.
“We promised to expand our gluten-free menu when we launched the Wei Forward Initiative,” said Pei Wei CEO J. Hedrick. “The Wei Forward is the philosophy that will drive our brand into the future. This is one of many changes that we have planned in order to make the Pei Wei experience exceptional for our guests.”
As part of this new initiative, Pei Wei is launching a partnership with AllergyEats, the dominant guide to finding allergy-friendly restaurants across the United States.
The Wei Forward embodies the brand’s belief that food should begin with wholesome, fresh ingredients that create bold flavor, and that transparency in ingredients and cooking methods is the best way to empower customers to make smart choices. Following the introduction of The Wei Forward, Pei Wei formally petitioned the U.S. Food & Drug Administration to compel restaurants to disclose their menu’s ingredients so consumers can make informed decisions about what they’re eating. Nearly 2,000 individuals have since joined the campaign for menu transparency by signing on to Pei Wei’s change.org petition.
