Trend-setting fast-casual pizza chain’s third Houston-area location boasts giveaways, partnership with Sunshine Kids Foundation

As the Pie Five Pizza Co. craze continues to sweep Space City, locals are craving even more, and they’ll get it when Houston welcomes its third restaurant this Friday.
Katy residents will officially welcome the new restaurant, located at 1473 S. Mason Rd., just north of Highland Knolls Road, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 30. The opening comes roughly one month after the trend-setting pizza eatery made its area debut in Spring, followed by the arrival of its second restaurant in The Heights on Jan. 23. It also marks the 16th Pie Five location in Texas.
Pie Five is feeding the Lone Star State’s newfound love for handcrafted, personalized pizzas using only the freshest ingredients at one great price. The “five” in Pie Five means it all happens in five minutes or less!
To help mark the Katy opening, 104.1 KRBE will be onsite from 6-8 p.m., complete with food and merchandise giveaways, as well as $5 pie deals. The hit radio station will also be celebrating with giveaways and $5 pies at The Heights restaurant, located at 107 Yale St. in Suite 400, between I-10 and Washington Avenue, between 6-8 p.m.

Here’s how it works. As pizza lovers step to the counter, Pie Five’s Pie-artisans help them choose their favorite crust – artisan thin, classic pan, whole grain Neapolitan or gluten-free thin. Then they can choose from seven sauces, four cheeses, eight meats and 16 veggies and, best of all, there’s no penalty for piling on! There’s more than a million combinations of handcrafted personal pizzas to choose from.
Pie Fivers can also add a fresh, hand-made salad, tossed right in front of them while their pizza reaches hot, cheesy perfection. Dessert offerings include Turtle brownies and chocolate chip pizza cookies, as well as seasonal pies and cakes, all baked fresh daily.
An official ribbon cutting ceremony is set to begin at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 6, compliments of the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce. The new restaurant has also partnered with the Sunshine Kids Foundation and will be donating 50 percent of proceeds from pre-opening training events to the charity. The contributions will be added to funds raised from its sister restaurants and a check will be given to the foundation that day.
