Birmingham, AL – 41st St Pub
This will be the second location for Father & Son duo Cliff Akin Jr & Sr. It will be located in a former service station site only a few blocks away from their current location. The building is currently being redeveloped with a new kitchen, dining room and bar being added. They are a few months away from an opening.
Seatle, WA – 7 Beef’s
Eric and Sophie Banh are hoping to get this restaurant open by June 2015. Earlier reports were that this restaurant was slated to be open last fall, then this March and now a June time frame. It will be a Japanese Steakhouse located in the Central District. The restaurant will hold 90 diners and will only be open for dinner.
Santa Clara, CA – Din Tai Fung
This will be Din Tai Fung’s first venture in the Bay area. This will be a 8,200 sq ft space with seating for 200. Din Tai has locations in the western US and also around the world. They are expecting an opening in late 2015.
Chicago, IL – Cantina De Le Granja
The former T’s Bar is currently being renovated into the modern Cantina De Le Granja. The opening has been puched back due to the weather. When it opens, the restaurant will have a sidewalk cafe, a 1,400-square-foot rooftop garden used to grow prototype vegetables and a “preservation” kitchen design to grow local food.
West Hollywood, CA – Guisados
Guisados will be added another location to the site of the former Gangnam Pocha on Santa Monica Blvd. This will be a Taco place like its other locations. No date was found for an opening, but with the property already established as a restaurant the timing is expected to be a few months.
Dallas, TX – Wabi House
Wabi will be taking over the space that was previously occupied by World Peace Cafe. The will be open late with four to five ramen options. Renovations are in the works and they hope to be open by May.
