The Specialty Pie Concept Will Bring Its Sweet & Savory Options To Markets Throughout The Country
Los Angeles, CA (RestaurantNews.com) The Pie Hole, the largest and fastest growing gourmet pie and coffee shop in the world, has solidified a multi-unit franchise agreement to bring its signature specialty pies to Saudi Arabia. The deal gives exclusive rights to the territory to local franchisee Abdulrhman Alrajhi, who will begin with a ten-unit development plan. Alrajhi has sights set on opening the first location of The Pie Hole in Saudi Arabia’s skyscraper-rich capital city, Riyadh, but is looking for additional sites in territories throughout the entire country.
Alrajhi is an experienced franchisee who was first introduced to the business by his family, who operated multiple franchised locations for Gloria Jean’s Coffee and It’s A Grind Coffee House. Alrajhi plans to open locations of The Pie Hole in high-traffic areas with high site visibility and accessibility, paying close attention to site strategy and real estate options.
“The Pie Hole is such a unique, innovative, and welcoming concept, and I know their tasty gourmet pies and specialty coffee will be a refreshing addition to the Riyadh food scene, which is currently booming,” said Alrajhi. “The diverse and indulgent menu of sweet and savory pies makes it an attractive option for multiple day-parts, and, by positioning the locations in high-traffic areas, the brand is sure to achieve maximum exposure in this promising new market.”
Started in 2011 by “Pie Mom” Becky Grasley, The Pie Hole was founded to bring Grasley’s four-generations-old family recipes to the masses. Every menu item is made from scratch and by-hand, featuring both traditional and modern pie flavors of the sweet and savory variety. Menu mainstays include their signature Earl Grey Tea Pie, Mom’s Apple Crumble, Mac ‘n Cheese Pot Pie, Cereal Killer Cheesecake, and more, as well as seasonally rotating selections. The Pie Hole also features its own exclusive line of Fair Trade coffee beans, which are used to create crafted coffee and hand-pulled espresso drinks at all locations.
The handmade pie concept currently operates eight locations across Southern California and three locations in Tokyo, Japan. The Pie Hole is partnered with Fransmart, the industry leading franchise development company behind the explosive growth of brands like Five Guys Burgers & Fries and The Halal Guys, as their exclusive franchise development partner to grow the brand. They are currently looking for experienced multi-unit foodservice operators to develop franchise territories in major markets across the globe.
