Seasonal Salad Adds Summertime Flavors to Chef-Inspired Salad Line
Dublin, OH (RestaurantNews.com) On the heels of adding two new permanent menu items to its premium salad line – the Asian Cashew Chicken Salad and BBQ Ranch Chicken Salad – Wendy’s introduces the Strawberry Fields Chicken Salad.
With summertime right around the corner, Wendy’s is savoring the moment with the freshest salad ingredients summer has to offer. Wendy’s new Strawberry Fields Chicken Salad serves up hand-sliced California strawberries, savory Applewood Smoked bacon, crumbled blue cheese and freshly sliced red onion in every forkful. The salad is topped off with honey-roasted sunflower seeds and is served with a Marzetti® Simply Dressed® Apple Balsamic Vinaigrette made with apple juice, bacon, balsamic vinegar, shallots and Dijon mustard.

Wendy’s will use more than two million pounds of freshly harvested California strawberries, hand-picked at the peak of ripeness and hand-sliced in every restaurant. In addition to delicious flavor, this super-fruit is loaded with Vitamin C and beneficial antioxidants.

Freshly Served, All Year Round
As always, Wendy’s salads are freshly prepared every day in our restaurants. Wendy’s washes and hand-chops heads of romaine and iceberg and blends them with a triple-washed leafy spring mix of nine different greens, and then uses a salad spinner to ensure crispness. Wendy’s 100% premium, all-white meat chicken breast is freshly grilled on-site in every restaurant, hand-chopped when ordered and served warm on top of the salads.
Available for a limited time only, Strawberry Fields Chicken Salad has a suggested price of $6.49 for the full-size and $4.49 for the half-size.
