Tootie Pie Company, Inc. announced that it acquired its first Tootie Pie Gourmet Café in Austin, Texas. It will be located between the prestigious Arboretum and Domain shopping centers, in the Arbor Walk shopping center.
The newest Tootie Pie Gourmet Café, which is currently operating as the Silver Spoon Bakery, will be located at 10515 N. Mopac Expressway, Suite A-120.
“Like other Texas cities, we have invested considerable time and money establishing our brand and developing a customer following in Austin,” said Don Merrill, President & CEO. “Whenever possible, we want to enter a market by buying an existing location, thereby giving us a revenue stream and customer base to build upon.”
The current owners, David & Veronica Goren, are expected to remain involved in the operations, with Veronica taking over as manager of the Tootie Pie Gourmet Café. Remaining terms of the deal were not disclosed.
