Beaver Street Fisheries Inc., which distributes seafood across the Southeast, has issued a precautionary voluntary recall of select 5- to 7-pound tuna loins that have been sold to restaurants outside the Jacksonville area.
The recall involves about 4,000 pounds of tuna and comes after three people in one particular restaurant got sick.
The problem is high levels of histamine, which can cause an allergic reaction called scombroid poisoning.
