Big Mac fans might be in for a surprise the next time they stop at the Jefferson Street McDonald’s. The fast-food restaurant recently reopened after a more than $2 million renovation, serving up a whole new look to go with Happy Meals and hot apple pies.
“It’s an upscale look,” Scott Lamson, owner of the McDonald’s restaurant, said. He was describing the wood grain laminate table tops, brushed aluminum chairs, tan bar stools, Napa Valley-themed murals and frosted glass panels that decorate the restaurant’s dining area.
Beginning in May, workers completely gutted the building, reoriented the drive-through lane, built a new kitchen, eating area, bathrooms and storage space. Everything is new, but the menu and prices remain the same, Lamson said.
