Anthony’s Pizza & Pasta is First Denver Restaurant to Offer Coca-Cola Freestyle

Anthony's Pizza & Pasta is First Denver Restaurant to Offer Coca-Cola FreestyleCoca-Cola Freestyle, The Coca-Cola Company’s new proprietary fountain dispenser, will enter the Denver market Tues., March 15, 2011 at select Anthony’s Pizza & Pasta locations.  A long-time Coca-Cola Company customer, Anthony’s Pizza & Pasta, was selected to be the first Denver restaurant to offer the new fountain technology providing customers with 106 beverage choices on one dispenser.

“Anthony’s Pizza & Pasta was thrilled to partner with Coca-Cola for the Denver market entry,” said Michael Toltz, president of Colorado-based Anthony’s Pizza & Pasta.  “We installed the machine on the other day–and since then we have had a line of curious customers testing different combinations. In fact, students from East High School were coming over in groups of 40-50 kids just to test the machine!”

Designed by Ferrari, with its own Pininfarina logo, the sleek, stylish new fountains are touch screen operated, enabling consumers to select from 106 regular and low-calorie beverage brands – including many varieties of waters, fruit-flavored beverages and sparkling beverages that, prior to the arrival of Coca-Cola Freestyle, were not available in the U.S.  The Coca-Cola Freestyle is a self-serve fountain –which represent a complete departure from anything The Coca-Cola Company has offered previously.

“We have created a concept that is quickly becoming recognized as the soda fountain of the future – a representation of the way people will experience Coca-Cola beverages years from now,” said Gene Farrell, said Gene Farrell, vice president, Coca-Cola Freestyle, Coca-Cola North America.

Results from beta testing of the fountains included more than 50 restaurants in Georgia and Southern California as well as four years of testing indicated a significant increase in total restaurant sales – including fountain servings.

The Coca-Cola Freestyle dispenser uses unique, proprietary PurePour Technology and has the capacity to dispense 106 beverage varieties in the same amount of space as a standard eight-valve machine.
