Cha Cha’s Tacos & Tequila Records More Than an 80 Percent Increase in Sales In 2010

Cha Cha's Tacos & Tequila Records More Than an 80 Percent Increase in Sales In 2010Cha Cha’s Tacos & Tequila, the fresh innovative Latin restaurant located in Brea Downtown, has reported an 80.2 percent increase in sales in 2010 over the same time period in 2009 (opened August 25 to December 31), and a 2011 first quarter increase of 42.6 percent over 2010.

“Peter and I both understood the economic outlook in 2009 when we opened Cha Cha’s, but we did it with our eyes wide open,” said Myers. “We are proud of what we accomplished in 2010, but there is still a great deal more we want to accomplish and we look forward to Cha Cha’s continued growth in 2011.”

Cha Cha’s was opened in Brea Downtown in 2009 by co-founders Don Myers and Peter Serantoni, who have a long history of success in the restaurant industry. Myers was President of Taps Brewery, and the Catch Fish House Restaurant Group, he was also a joint-venture partner of Roy’s Hawaiian Fusion® Cuisine.

Serantoni has held some of the top management positions in a number of the nation’s most successful dining concepts, including Chevys Fresh Mex, Paul Fleming’s Restaurant Management, and Director of Product Development/Executive Chef for The Restaurant Enterprises Group. Currently, Serantoni’s consulting firm, “Fork in the Road, Inc.” is working with the top restaurants and liquor companies in the nation.

The strong sales growth was the result of having a solid core concept and having the ability to quickly react to market specific issues. Some of these changes include continuing to reinvest in the facility (e.g. enclosing the outdoor patio), along with an increase in marketing, advertising and promotions (e.g. live Latin music, a unique Happy Hour, and a strong guest appreciation program).

“Our repeat business is impressive,” said Myers, “We honored our ‘Guest of the Year’ at our anniversary party in October and the winners had been here more than 100 times in the past year; you don’t do that unless you thoroughly enjoy Cha Cha’s and what we are offering.”

“We have always had a lot of faith in the core values of our restaurant,” said Serantoni. “Don and I are extremely grateful to our guests and staff, and as we celebrate our second anniversary we are confident that our fresh, Latin Kitchen concept will translate and perform well in a number of locations in California and we are currently looking to grow the Cha Cha’s brand.”

Cha Cha’s Tacos & Tequila was recently honored with Business of the Year from the Brea Chamber of Commerce, and the Cha Cha’s House Margarita was named the Orange County Register’s “Critic’s Choice” for Best Margarita in Orange County.

Cha Cha’s Tacos & Tequila offers an alternative to traditional Mexican cuisine. Using only the finest quality seasonal and organic ingredients, the Latin-inspired menu features spectacular Latin food prepared in a wood-fired oven, and a variety of fresh house made fire-roasted salsas. The attention to detail, carries on to their hand-crafted cocktails, where they use only fresh-squeezed juices, house-made sour mixes, 100 percent Blue Agave Tequilas for their Margaritas and fresh fruit garnishes.

Cha Cha’s Tacos & Tequilas is located in Brea Downtown at 110 W. Birch St, Brea, CA 92821.
