Masaharu Morimoto of television’s popular Iron Chef series would be proud.
While there were no TV cameras, no announcers and no bright lights, last month’s Second Annual Iron Chef Cook-Off at Beechie’s Place was a real show-stopper for patrons of the popular neighborhood restaurant. Mighty tasty, too.
Competing for the coveted “Iron Chef” title – along with bragging rights – were chef/owner Lane McFarland and sous chef Drew Seaman. The victor’s spoils also included a permanent spot on a future Beechie’s menu for one of the winner’s dishes.
