Johnny Rockets and GameRoom partner to unveil a new 20,000-square-foot Johnny Rockets GameRoom at Sawgrass Mills tomorrow in Sunrise, Fla. Along with the restaurant’s classic fare and feel-good atmosphere, the new facility features a sports bar, a game room courtesy of PrimeTime Amusements, party rooms and an expanded menu.
The combined restaurant and arcade will celebrate its grand opening on October 13th from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Events include free gameplay on non-redemption games, photo opportunities with Sonic the Hedgehog character and Johnny Rockets free Shake samples and sliders. The event includes special ribbon-cutting ceremony by Sunrise Mayor Michael Ryan, PrimeTime Amusements President David Goldfarb, Johnny Rockets Franchise Owners Ken Eldridge and Kyle Eldridge and GameRoom Partners Ron Mogerman, Claudio Sassi, Robert Dunn and Jonny Alpern.
“We are excited about this new venture and partnership with PrimeTime Amusements because we both have the core focus to offer fun, friendly, family environments, which blend seamlessly,” said Ken Eldridge. “Beyond our delicious food, we have something for everyone, with a 10,000-square-foot game room for children and a full-service sports bar with flat-screen TVs for adults.”
“The idea of combining the entertainment of arcades with a classic all-American food chain was a natural fit,” added Goldfarb. “The GameRoom team was looking for the right brand to integrate into our venue, and the high-quality food, and classic American atmosphere that Johnny Rockets offers works effortlessly in the space.”
With 25 years of Johnny Rockets restaurant experience, Ken and Kyle Eldridge welcome Johnny Rockets GameRoom as their twelfth Johnny Rockets restaurant in South Florida. The restaurant is in the “The Oasis” area of the mall, located near the Regal 23 Cinemas & IMAX, Ron Jon Surf Shop and Nordstroms Rack. In addition to menu favorites like Hamburgers, Shakes, and American Fries, the restaurant is the first Johnny Rockets to serve pizza.
Johnny Rockets GameRoom is open from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., and is located in the Sawgrass Mills Mall at 12801 West Sunrise Blvd., Sunrise, FL, 33323. The mall is 15 miles from the Fort Lauderdale International Airport and 30 miles from the Miami International Airport. This is the twentieth Johnny Rockets in Florida.
