Perkins closes four Orlando restaurants

Customers and employees at a handful of Perkins restaurants got a shock Sunday afternoon. Four Orlando locations and nine total in the state of Florida unexpectedly closed around 4:30 p.m.

Managers at the Rosemont Perkins on North Orange Blossom Trail locked the doors and put a sign on the doors that read. “This Perkins restaurant in closed and will not re-open.”

Workers didn’t have any advance warning. “One of the servers came back. She was crying and said they just closed the store,” said line cook Deryck Cunningham. “We’re all fired. We don’t have a job.”
