Pollo Campero Restaurant to Open in San Francisco

Pollo Campero Restaurant to Open in San FranciscoPollo Campero, the popular restaurant chain whose tender, juicy and crunchy chicken has made mouths water since entering the Los Angeles market in 2002, is announcing that it will open its first San Francisco location. With a 7-0 vote, the San Francisco Planning Commission cleared the way for the development and opening of the new restaurant by late 2011. Located at 2740 Mission Street in the heart of the Mission District, the new restaurant is expected to bring 50-70 new jobs to the area.

“Since our US opening in 2002, we have received an overwhelming number of requests to open a restaurant in the Bay Area. With the support of the Planning Commission, we are finally able to make it a reality’” said Amir Siddiqi, President and Chief Operating Officer of ADIR Restaurants Corp, the master franchise for Pollo Campero in six western states.

Pollo Campero is a family-dining restaurant first established in Guatemala and El Salvador in 1971. It has since expanded to six other Central American countries, and the United States to become one of the leading restaurant chains from Latin America. Pollo Campero combines warm-hearted customer service with tender, juicy & crunchy chicken to provide a whole-family dining experience.
