Restaurants in India’s biggest cities have improved dramatically in recent years, and now there’s a good chance you’ll be served reasonably good Italian and even Japanese food. Restaurants have also ventured out of five-star hotels and try to appeal to different types of clientele, beyond the short-stay business traveler. But there are still some things that drive us crazy. Seven, to be precise:
1. Overzealous air-conditioning. Yes, we get it: It’s hot and humid outside and you’ve successfully tamed the elements. But do we really need to keep our winter clothes handy year round just to come to your restaurant? We noticed that the fancier the restaurant, the chillier the room temperature.
